Persona 5

Posted on

So all you Persona fans out there, you guy must be over the moon right now because Persona 5 has been announced for the PS3, along with a bunch some other Persona games- Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold and Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth ( P4 Arena sequel) and Persona 4: Dancing All Night. Persona 5 is coming out in Winter 2014. The trailer was short, but it was very interesting. In the trailer there were a bunch of chairs, which were held down by chains and balls- which have given many the assumption that game is set in a prison and not in high school ( not that there’s anything wrong with high school). In the trailer it is stated “You are slave. Want emancipation?” From the tiny bit of Persona 3 and 4 I have played ( don’t kill me, I’m going play through 4 and finish it as soon as I can), this seems to be pretty dark – Persona 3 level, which I like. Next-gen might be here, but the PS3 is still strong, lots of RPG’s next year- Tales of Xillia 2, Tales of Symphonia Chronicles, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, and of course newly announced Persona 5.

Log Horizon- First Impressions

Posted on

lgSo Log Horizon, or according to every fanboy on the internet ‘the SAO ripoff’, is a new anime that has been airing this season. After watching the first several episodes, I can honestly say this is nothing like SAO. I really didn’t go into Log Horizon with that high expectations (did that with SAO and what that turned out to be). I’ll admit that the 1st episode didn’t draw me in that much, but after the next few episodes, I really enjoy it. The tone for Log Horizon is quite different to SAO, being less serious, but I think it actually helps LG. It’s really fun, as it’s more about adventuring, but with some dark elements, which seem to be coming in.  The 3 main characters are really fun to watch, Shiroe, is a unique protagonist, relying on his brains, rather then pure strength ( a plus in my books), Naotsugu, the comic relief character, and Akatsuki, the cute badass assassin.

I think gamers will really like this anime, especially the MMO players, it’s start off slow, but so far it’s really good. I say give it the 3 episode rule! If you want to watch Log Horizon, you can watch it legally on Crunchyroll.

Ufotable’s New Fate/Stay Night Anime

Posted on Updated on

ImageSo I’m a fate fan, well of Fate/Zero, FSN not so much, well the anime anyways, and no I haven’t read the Visual Novel ( don’t have the time, okay maybe I do I just can’t be bothered), but I have skimmed through the wiki pages, and glanced at the other two routes, also every single Fate/Stay Night VN fan on the god dam internet has told me the other routes are way better, and Shirou is more badass. So I was pretty hyped for an adaption of the other routes. Most people were expecting it to be Heaven’s Feel. Well apparently, according to some article I read, it might not be of HF and instead be the Fate route again. So I’m slightly disappointed but I honestly really don’t mind because it’s ufotable adapating it not studio deen, so I expect it to be great and look amazing! No matter which route they adapt, I have faith ufotable will be able to pull it off! 🙂  – Also I need to watch Kara no Kyoukai!
